There was a scary moment in a national woman’s football league game on Friday night after a player was hospitalized after an on-Field event.

Angel City Defense Savy King suffered a “medical event” during the team’s match against Utah Royals.

King went down to the 74th minute and was adhered to for approx. 10 minutes before she was taken from the field on a wagon, leaving other players visibly shaken.

The reports say it seemed that CPR was administered and that an AED was used. The game was stopped for several minutes to treat King.

Eventually, she became the carrier from the field and after the game both teams and their staff came together in prayer.

The club gave good news after the game.

Alex Loera: “Obviously, Savy King is one of my really good friends … These moments are always so scary – we send all our thoughts and prayers to Savy King’s family,” Loera said.
