Angel Reese surprised her mother with a birthday gift that almost brought her to tears.

Rees’s mother, Angel Webb Reese, was a guest of the WNBA star’s “Unapologetic Angel” podcast.

At the end of the episode, Reese let her mother know she had paid her mortgage loan as part of her gift.

“You said that if your mortgage loan was paid for you to retire or you will not work or you can choose if you want to work quietly, then your mortgage loan has been paid,” Reese said.

Webb Reese almost fell the cake she had been given in disbelief.

“What?” Webb Reese said, flabbergasted.

“Today, your mortgage loan has been paid. Don’t worry about your mortgage no more. And if you still want to work and keep you busy, you can stay busy,” Reese continued.

“Are you serious?” Webb Reese said, overwhelmed by Reese’s gift.

“And when I move to Chicago this year – in fact, I get a house you can come – you can come with me when you want,” Reese added.

“It was my biggest goal in life, to withdraw you back. To pay your priority loan or whatever you would for you not to work.”

Webb Reese started tearing up, and then Reese came to her and sang “Happy Birthday.”

Webb Reese played for the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and was introduced to UMBC Athletics Hall of Fame.
