Angel Reese will be suspended for a game after picking up his eighth technical mistake of the season.
Per WNBA rules, players must serve an automatic suspension without pay by receiving their eighth tech of the year.
Reese had seven to 22 games last season, but managed to avoid one eighth.

Foul came as he fought a rebound against Aaliyah Edwards. When the two fought for position, Reese seemed to backhand Edwards on the side of the head.
Chicago Sky’s next match is Friday against the Indiana fever, which will now not contain Reese nor Caitlin Clark, who continues to treat an annoying groin injury.
The sky came away with an 88-64 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, but it was just the 10th victory of the season of heaven against 30 losses.
At the forefront of the game, Reese expressed her dissatisfaction with the season.

“I am very vocal about what we need and what I want,” she told Chicago Tribune. “I want to be here in my career, but if things don’t pan, of course, I may have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me. But while I’m here, I will try to remain aware of what I have here and maximize it as much as I can.”

Reese went back her comments after Wednesday evening’s win and said she had already apologized for the team.
“I’m probably frustrated with myself right now,” she said. “I think the language was taken out of context, and I really didn’t mean to intentionally shut down my teammates because they’ve been through this with me throughout the year.”

Reese, which was No. 7 elections in the WNBA draft last season, is an average of 14.6 points and a league-best 12.6 rebounds. She has at least one more season on her rookie contract.
