Angels Manager says no phones in the clubhouse this season

There’s a Brummer around Los Angeles Angels’ Clubhouse, but it certainly doesn’t come from any of the players’ cell phones.

Angels Manager Ron Washington has implemented one of his previous policies from his time with Texas Rangers In Angels’ Clubhouse in the spring by banning the use of mobile phones – a policy, he said he plans to maintain throughout the regular season.

“Now the rules have been extended to the outside of the clubhouse,” Washington said Wednesday, Via Athletic. “Right now they are in the hallways in here (just outside the team’s clubhouse). Now it will be completely out of the damn clubhouse (building).”

According to the report, the Washington implemented the rule of Rangers from 2007-2014 and left team leaders in charge of enforcing the rule that had a $ 500 fine.

Washington said he is not exempt from the rule and looks at it as a way of keeping the team focused.

“It’s not punishment; I just want some focus.”
