- Anker Soundcore Boom 3i is very saltwater resistant and designed to flow
- It has a self -tapping function and can also be washed
- It has emergency alarm and broadcast functions
Anker has launched a brand new version of his fun and bass kid Soundcore Boom Bluetooth speaker. Soundcore Boom 3i promises to do something that no other Bluetooth speaker can do, and it also borrows a nice trick from Apple Watch.
First, let’s talk about that industry. Boom 3i promises perfect playback, even when it flows on the water, although there are waves: The lift is “no distortion, no sinking – just loud, clear sound for kayaking, pool parties and every water adventure”. Basically, it is weighted so it flows in water, but the speaker grille with point upwards.
It is extremely saltwater resistant and has been drop-tested to 1 m, although it is unclear if it is also shark resistant. However, it has an emergency of 96DB alarm that you can use to get help if you have a JAWS moment or if you are lost in the desert and just need someone to find you without being able to see you.
And you can also use the speaker to reinforce your voice for your fellow travelers to hear at a distance, for example “Aaaagh aaaagh aaagh I am being attacked by a shark.”
SOUNDCORE BOOM 3I: Key features and pricing
Soundcore Boom 3i has what Anker calls buzz clean, and it gets rid of dry sand on the speaker by vibrating the drivers vigorously, in about the same way as Apple Watch pushes water out of water from its speakers using vibrations. And because 3i is very water resistant, you can run it under the tap or dunk it in water if the buzz clean feature doesn’t get rid of it all.
Power Output is 50W, with a bass reinforcement that goes down to 56Hz, and the life of the battery is a promised 16 hours. And in addition to soundtracking a pool party, it can also turn it on thanks to its rhythmic light.
We really liked Boom 2, and although we wouldn’t exactly describe it as an audiophile experience, it is a strong, stubborn speaker that gives a lot of noise from a surprisingly easy speaker. 3i looks like it’s a worth upgrading to an already fun formula for people who want one genuine Outdoor speaker.
So far, Soundcore Boom 3i is available in Canada at an initial price of about $ 189 (approximately $ 138 / £ 101 / AU $ 212). Prices and accessibility for other countries have not been announced yet, but we look forward to throwing this around.
