Another infiltration Bidfrom Afghanistan Foiled

Security forces averted a terrorist infringing trial successfully along the border between Pakistan-Afghanistan in the North Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), who killed eight terrorists and injured four others, the military said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, a group of “Khwarij”, attempted expressions used for terrorists affiliated with Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tried to enter the Hassan Khel area during the night. Their efforts were foiled after an intense exchange of fire with security forces.

“The night 5/6 April was the movement of a group of Khwarij trying to infiltrate through the border between Pakistan-Afghanistan, picked up by the security forces in the ordinary Hassan Khel area, North Waziristan district,” ISPR said in a statement.

“Own troops engaged effectively and prevented their attempts to infiltrate. After an intense exchange of fire, eight Khwarij was sent to hell, while four Khwarij was injured. Sanitization operation is performed to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area,” added it.

Pakistan has consistently asked the preliminary Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border and fulfill his obligations by refusing the use of the Afghan soil of terrorists to perpetuate terrorist acts against Pakistan.

According to the ISPR declaration, the security forces in Pakistan were determined and remain obliged to secure the country’s borders and wipe out the threat of terrorism from the country.

Pakistan has seen an uptick in terrorist activities in recent weeks. In Khyber -pakhtunkhwa alone, terrorist attacks claimed 152 lives and wounded 302 others – including police officers, security staff and civilians – during the first quarter of 2025, according to a quarterly report issued by the KP police.

The report highlighted that civilians carried the violence with 45 killed and 127 wounded between January and March 2025.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Sharif security forces to foil the North Waziristan entry attempt and kill eight terrorists during timely operations.

In a statement, President Zardari declared that the brave armed forces in Pakistan were determined to protect the country’s borders around the clock. “The operations against terrorists would continue until it is complete extinction of the threat of terrorism,” he added.

In a separate official statement, the prime minister paid tribute to the “quick and decisive reaction” of officers and staff who successfully rejected the terrorists’ attempts to enter Pakistan. He acknowledged their excellent performance in removing eight terrorists.

“The officers and staff of our security forces have foiled the dishonest designs of Khawarij to spread chaos inside Pakistan,” he said. Our officers and soldiers are tirelessly engaged day and night to counter any evil attempts and secure the country’s security and sovereignty, ”he added.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the armed forces in Pakistan remained vigilant and fully obliged to defend the borders of the nation. He expressed his full confidence in the capacity and dedication of the security forces and confirmed the government’s decision to eliminate terrorism in all its forms.
