Bannu:
Another polio case has been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwas Bannu -District, making it the third reported from the province and the eighth nationwide so far this year.
The confirmation comes in the middle of the country’s second nationwide anti-polio campaign for the year, which is currently underway from April 21 to April 27.
The campaign aims to manage oral polio vaccines for 45.4 million children under five years over Pakistan.
According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), another nationwide campaign will follow from May 26 to June 1 as part of the continued endeavor to eradicate the virus.
