ANP -manager rejects ‘shameful’ seats judgment

Peshawar:

Anp chief Aimal Wali Khan has paralyzed the judiciary to undo his previous judgment with regard to the award of reserved seats to Imran Khan’s PTI, saying that the Supreme Court’s June 28 is even more shameful than the alleged rigging that took place 8 February 2024 general elections.

“Buying and selling on February 8 was shameful, but the decision on the reserved seats is even more shameful,” Aimal said on Saturday.

“If you’ve already brought them [PTI lawmakers] You then go ahead and give them the reserved seats as well. You were not afraid back when you handed them 93 MPAs [in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly] Because people in uniform managed each seat, ”he claimed.

The ruling parties got another victory on the legal front as a constitutional bench (CB) for SC on June 28, the Pointed Court set aside on July 12, 2024, which had resurrected PTI as a parliamentary party and allowed it to get reserved seats in legislation.

The order ended the chance of PTI to enter parliament. It also affected the Senate Election in the KP assembly, while it also poses existential threat to the PTI government in KP.

The AP president also rejected the Prime Minister’s committee, which was set up for the former tribal districts. He said that even the nominated chairman of the committee would not be acceptable.

“What would members brought in from Punjab know about Pashtun traditions?” He asked.

Aimal warned that if there is any backtracking about the 25th constitutional change, his party would take on the streets. “Even after sacrificing 18 lives the state remains silent. This is not normal; it is a tragedy.”

He said there will also be no compromise on the 18th amendment, which he said was secured by his father, Asfandyar Wali Khan.

He complained that helicopters who did not come for flood victims arrived to transport VIPs.
