Anthony Mackie thinks of her late friend Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
Mackie and his Twisted metal Costar Stephanie Beatriz reflected on their late costars and mentors while promoting the new season of their show.
“I’m proud to say that Malcom-Jamal Warner was one of my friends,” Mackie declared, 46, that People. “He is someone with whom I knew and spent time, and was just such a beautiful person.”
“And every time I was around him, I was able to take full advantage of these conversations and at that time. That’s the most important thing to me,” he added.

Elsewhere Captain America Star remembered his mentor Andre Braugher, as younger fans may know from his role as Captain Ray Holt I Brooklyn ni-ni. The actor died of lung cancer in December 2023 at the age of 61.
“Being in New York and the new child on the theater scene. Having these lessons and those moments and getting it communicated [by] Such – at the time for me – such an icon in the industry, ”he remembered.
The actor also advised young people to be genuine and honest about their mentors to get the best advice from them.
“I always tell that people just take full advantage of these moments [with mentors] And really be yourself so that person can see, respond and engage in who you are, and not a fictional idea of who you think they want you to be, ”added Anthony Mackie.
