Los Angeles Dodgers player Enrique Hernandez claimed in a social media post over the weekend that society “was violated, profiled, abused and torn apart” in the middle of an illegal immigration talk in the city and in parts of the county.
The two-time World Series Master expressed his feelings about American immigration and customs enforcement (ICE’s) attack over the past week that led to hundreds of arrests and triggered riots in parts of Los Angeles. Hernandez did not mention the violence that took place against law enforcement authorities.

“I may not have been born and raised, but this city adopted me as one of their own,” he wrote on Instagram. “I am sad and annoyed at what is happening in our country and our city. Los Angeles and Dodger fans have welcomed me, supported me and shown me nothing but kindness and love.

Later in the week, stores in the center of Los Angeles were looted.
