Anti -Semitic incident in Barstool Sports Bar gets attention to police

Philadelphia police have launched an investigation of an anti -Semitic incident that took place in a bar stool sports bar in the city over the weekend.

Video sent to social media showed bottle-service girls in the bar that brought a sign reading “F — the Jews.” The clip immediately became viral and pulled a fiery reaction from Barstol -Sport founder Dave Portnoy.

On Monday, authorities looked at the incident.

“We are currently investigating this case,” the Philadelphia police told Pakinomist Digital. “A video has emerged and shows a sign in the Philly Barstool Bar, located on 1213 Sissy Street, reportedly from Saturday night. We are working to collect more information and will give an update as soon as possible.”

Pakinomist Digital reached the Philadelphia Police Department for Comment.

Portnoy said he sent the two guilty to the incident to Auschwitz to learn about the Holocaust and the atrocities that took place in Poland.

Temple University said one of his students was involved in the incident and the student was placed on temporary suspension, according to Fox 29 Philadelphia.

“On the strongest conditions, let me be clear: Anti -Semitism is abominable. It has no place in the temple and actions of hatred and discrimination against any person or persons are not tolerated at this university,” the school president, John Fry, said in a statement.

“Any additional students who prove to be involved will be subjected to strict disciplinary action during the student’s behavioral code, up to and with expulsion. I know that events like this do not represent our society and its values. Thank you for your support and continued obligation to ensure that Temple provides a safe and inviting environment for all its students, faculties, staff and neighbors.”

The bar, located on Samson Street in the Center City Quarter in Philadelphia, also released a statement. The bar said that two of its employees involved in the incident were fired.

“We are sad, embarrassed and frustrated with the regrettable acts of a customer’s and misleading staff who act outside their duties, resulting in anti -Semitic hatred numbers last night at our establishment,” the bar said.
