Apple has updated its certified renovated store in both the US and UK and added the entire iPhone 15 set -up to these set up online stores.
IPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will now be available in Apple-certified Renovated Mode via the online store in both countries that depend on accessibility.
By default for Apple -certified renovated products, customers can expect some reasonably impressive savings on the renovated iPhone 15 lineup.
The cheapest model in the set -up – iPhone 15 with 128 GB of storage – checks to $ 619 / £ 589, a saving of $ 110 / £ 110 from the $ 829 / £ 799 launch price (Remember that Renoved iPhones are unlocked, adding a small prize to the US starting price).
At the top end comes the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 1 TB storage space of $ 1,269 – that’s a solid $ 230 on the new price.
There are currently no 1TB iPhone 15 Pro Max models available in the British certified renovated store, but looking at the other models we would expect a mirrored discount of £ 230, resulting in a price of £ 1,269.
So is it a good deal? Or are you better at looking elsewhere? It depends on a few key factors.
First, when it comes to Apple certified renovated, price is not the full story.
As we recently highlighted as part of Techradar’s sustainability week, Apple-certified renovated iPhones are all equipped with a new battery and a new exterior, as well as any necessary internal components that are always official Apple or other first-party parts.
The renovated handsets are then packed in new boxes with new cables and accessories, and when purchased, it is covered by a year warranty with free delivery and return. This is a pretty robust process that adds a lot of value, especially compared to buying used via a marketplace like eBay.
Of course, Apple will still sell you a brand new iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus if you want one, but I would suggest saving your money and buying from Apple certified renovated store instead, unless the latter lacks your desired color or storage option.

As for third -party dealers, the story is a little more complex. In the UK, Amazon iPhone 15 offers £ 598, while the US, the only lists I could find, were for renewed phones – Amazon, is generally considered a lower standard for quality than Apple certified renovated.
Best Buy has the iPhone 15 new for $ 579.99 in the US, but only if you get that carrier locked – it is up to $ 679.99 for the unlocked model. And back in the UK, John Lewis iPhone 15, starting at £ 599, offers, albeit with a two -year warranty from the retailer as well as Apple’s warranty in one year.
With other models, retailers get closer to matching the certified renovated price – John Lewis has the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 1 TB of storage for £ 1,299 in England, but I couldn’t find any equivalents in the US where most options are carried.
This is all to say that there are plenty of options available, and although Apple-certified renovated store offers great value with a solid first-party guarantee, it is important to consider what is right for you.
But with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max officially stopped, and the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus probably follow later in the year, this can be a suitable moment to pick up one of the best iPhones in recent memory.
