Haptic buttons are predicted for Apple -Units
They are more durable and more adapted
It is unlikely that we see them on iPhone 17
Haptic buttons (also known as solid buttons) do not move physical-they just give your fingers feedback in the form of vibrations to simulate a click. Apple uses them for its MacBook trackpads and it looks like they will be coming to many other devices soon.
According to the well-known Tipster Instant Digital (via MacRumors), Apple is investigating the idea of using haptic buttons for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch self-indications is that this is not something we see in this year’s updates.
This is not the first time this rumor appears – we thought we might get haptic buttons back with the iPhone 15 series if you remember – but it looks like they’re back on the agenda of Apple, and this time not just for iPhone.
We don’t get much more information than that, but the benefits of these haptic buttons are that they last anymore (because they don’t actually move) and offer more adjustment options (because feedback’s power can be adjusted as needed).

Based on the least on this rumor, Haptic buttons will be unlikely to be ready for the iPhone 17, or actually the Apple Watch series 11. Both of these devices will now be in the last stages of their development before an expected September launch.
Looking further down the line, some of this technology may be displayed in Apple’s 2026 devices (at which time Apple’s launch plan could be more displaced). It could also appear slowly on some buttons, but not on others.
The iPhone 16-Hand Kit has a camera control button partially haptic, but it uses tech that is actually a solid-state and physical mechanism hybrid. It may be showing Apple experimenting before going into haptik.
Other leaks have suggested that Apple is working on an iPhone on all screens in the coming years (without notches or islands), while rumors of a portless iPhone have swirled for years. Haptic buttons could be another part of the great plan.
