- Apple just teased ‘something powerful coming’
- The teaser shows a MacBook-Pro-Expressing, probably a new M5-driven model
- While the M5 chip is almost safe, a new color setting may arrive at Apple’s Pro -Arable computers
While Apple CEO Tim Cook did not offer teaser this time-as he did for the Sky Blue MacBook Air and iPhone 16E-confirmed the Cupertino-based company’s SVP for Marketing Greg Joswiak just basically that at least one new Mac is on the horizon.
A post on X (formerly Twitter) Caption “Mmmmm… Something Powerful Coming” shows a video with what seems to be a MacBook Pro folded open to make a V, with “Coming Soon” flashed over in different shades of blue. Now count the number of M’s he used and remember what novel Numeral V is and we are pretty sure this is a direct drill for an M5-driven MacBook Pro.

As far as “” coming soon “means exactly, given earlier teasers that Apple has put on social media, we would expect this to come hot later this week, potentially as soon as tomorrow, Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
In recent years, Apple has also used October to launch new Macs, and by 2024 new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, a redesigned Mac Mini, a Suped-Up Mac studio and a new iMac, all with M4 chip. Apparently we get at least a new Mac that seems to be a strong variant of MacBook Pro with M5.
It doesn’t come as much of a surprise, considering Apple’s history of October launches and recently rumors of M5 Macs that will soon be debuting. The rumor mill has so far expected Apple to keep the functioning, chunkier and port-filled 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, but to swap the more powerful chip under the hood.
The M5 MacBook Pro is likely to come as the base model as well as pro and max variants – that is, if Apple follows its existing name convention.
From the teaser, it seems that the MacBook Pro may have a hint of blue, so while it is not as pastel or fluid as The Sky Blue MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro can possibly initiate a deeper fleet.
Of course, we have to wait for Apple to do it officially, but with a teaser from none other than Apple’s own SVP of Marketing, I have the feeling that we are seeing a new Mac launch immediately. And Techradar will be the place to be as we break it all down when it arrives.
