Any discussion of the best smartwatches on the market right now is sure to include the latest Apple Watch – especially for those who already own an iPhone – and so expectation levels are high for the next smartwatch model Apple is working on, due to launch In 2025.
This will be the Apple Watch Series 11, the sequel to the Apple Watch series 10. While Apple has not said anything about it officially (and doesn’t do so until the device is revealed) we have some leaks and rumors to give us an idea of , what we can expect.
We’ve put together everything we’ve heard so far about Apple Watch 10 below, and included some trained guesses for a good goal. In addition, you will find that this hub gets regular updates between now and every time the Apple Watch 11 launch day is happening.
Cut to the hunt
- What is it? 2025 Apple Watch
- When is it out? Almost determined September 2025
- How much does it cost? Probably about $ 399 / £ 399 / AU $ 649
Apple Watch Series 11: Release Date -Forests and Pricing
- A launch in September 2025 is almost sure
- It probably costs $ 399 / £ 399 / AU $ 649 and up again
We haven’t heard much about a potential release date or price for the Apple Watch series 11 yet, but get some clues from the current model: Check out our Apple Watch Series 10 review for details. In fact, Apple Watches are usually quite predictable in terms of release date and pricing.
Every Apple Watch except for the very first has been revealed in September, so you don’t have to use too much detective work to find that Apple Watch 11 will break the coverage in September 2025 – it would be a big surprise if it doesn’t did it. Look for iPhone 17, which also appears at the same time.
It’s backed up by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a reliable tipster that says we can expect the Apple Watch Series 11 in the second half of 2025. It looks like it’s going to be a big year for Apple Watches, with Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch see 3 expected too.
Prices for Apple Watch 11 are less easy to predict. Apple Watch Series 10, launched in 2024, matched the starting prices in the Apple Watch Series 9, which was launched in 2023, which in turn was very similar to what we had to pay for the Apple Watch Series 8, which was launched in 2022 (depending on where In the world it was sold).
Apple is clearly eager to keep the pricing stable, so something about $ 399 / £ 399 / AU $ 649 for 42 mm size and $ 429 / £ 429 / AU $ 699 for 46 mm size seems likely. As usual, the LTE connection costs you extra, and different lining pipes and different straps change the price you pay as well.
Apple Watch 11: Leakies and Rumors
- A faster processor is likely
- Watchos 12 will be on board
We are still waiting for the Apple Watch 11 leaks and rumors to start in earnest, and maybe it says something in itself: the annual Apple Watch upgrades are usually not huge and it may be a case of another iterative update this time around (In which case we definitely hope the price does not rise).
That said, the feature long rumored blood pressure monitoring could well appear on Apple Watch 11, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. This probably acts as the existing detection of sleep apnea, where you get warnings about elevated readings rather than around the clock.
More advanced health sensors – for example for glucose monitoring – are also in the works, but will probably not appear this time. Meanwhile, Apple remains deeply tangled in a legal case relating to blood oxygen readings, so it doesn’t look like the particular function will soon make a comeback.
Remember that the Apple Watch 10 got a bigger screen and slightly larger and thinner cases in 2024, making it even less likely that the design will be changed in 2025. What is more likely is a handful of new color, house and strap options, just To distinguish the new model from the old one.
We’ve actually heard that Apple Watch see 3 will get a redesign this year while Apple Watch 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 won’t – it’s Gurman again.
An upgrade on the inside of the Apple Watch Series 11 seems likely at this time: Apple always bumps up the processor with each new smartwatch model so we could get a new Apple S11 chip to go with the new Apple Watch 11 .
While the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is joined to get satellite connection and 5G support, we do not think these features will appear on the Apple Watch series 11.
Something else that is almost determined but not fully confirmed is that the new Apple Watch 11 is going to run Watchos 12 that follows from the Watchos 11 software launched with Apple Watch 10. Apple has not said anything about Watchos 11 yet, but we should get more information on Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) sometime in July.
Also on the software side, we have heard that an AI Health Coach app is on the way that would probably utilize some AI -SMARTS to give you personal insight into your fitness data, as well as advice on which workouts to try next.
Apple Watch 11: What we will see
While we were big fans of Apple Watch 10, that doesn’t mean there’s no room for improvements with a new model for 2025. While it is probably too late in the stage of development for us to have turns over Apple’s engineers at this time, nonetheless, nonetheless Less we would like to make the improvements we want to see with the new laptop.
1. Smart uses of AI
AI is everywhere these days, in case you hadn’t noticed it and when it comes to Apple devices, it means Apple Intelligence. So far, Apple Intelligence has not expanded its reach to Apple Watch, so we hope that changes with the 11th gene model-predicted that Apple is thinking about the features that would actually be useful on a wrist.
2. More customization options
Each new Apple Watch always comes with a selection of new watches of course, but we think Apple can do more in terms of the customization options at Watchos – it’s an area where other watches have the edge. With iOS 18, there are now more customization adjustments available on the iPhone than ever before, so let’s hope Apple Watch will follow that trend.
3. Improved health sensors
Rumors have for years been swirling about health sensors and features that Apple could potentially add to its smartwatch series, from sensors in the straps to glucose monitoring. While major upgrades still appear to be several years free, based on reports, we still hope we may see one or two new health tracking features on Apple Watch 11.
4. Better battery life
Stop us now if you’ve heard this one before, but we want to see better battery life on Apple Watch 11 – because of course we would do it. During our test of Apple Watch 10, we got about a day between charges, which is not good compared to a lot of Apple Watch competitors (especially if you want to use Smartwatch to track your sleep).
5. Better tape adjustments
It is not the most remarkable of features, but we have often found that the Apple Watch Band’s attachment mechanism is a bit too fiddly. Samsung has found out how to make a smooth and stress-free attachment system, so it can be done-and it would definitely make life easier for those who like to swap their ties out regularly.
