Apple has rumored to work on a next generation iPhone SE For quite a long time. We expect the fourth generation of, more affordable iPhone sometime in 2025, potentially in the spring, around March or April.
However, A new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman Notes that Apple could advertise the smartphone as soon as next week. He writes, “The company expects to advertise the device next week, in front of the one who goes on sale later this month.” It suggests a fairly impending arrival, but one that probably doesn’t get the opportunity for an Apple Special Event. It would be more likely to be launched in a question similar to the iPad Mini from the end of last year via a press release.
IPhone SE has long been part of Apple’s iPhone setup that first arrived in 2016 and lastly updated as a third generation in 2022. Currently it is most similar to the one of an iPhone 8 and is the only smartphone in Apple’s family Still contains a home button with touch ID. However, this next generation of iPhone SE should be a big jump in terms of appearance and hardware that drives it.
It is reported that the fourth generation of iPhone SE will look like it on the iPhone 14, with a larger, closer-to-the-edge screen design, which ditches the home button and has a notch that contains facial ID. This means you would be able to unlock the iPhone with just one glance and the same goes for the approval of the purchase or use of Apple Pay.
Gurman’s latest reporting notes that the device is the code name “V59” and will be the first Apple product to have a modem designed internally. That would mean ditching another Qualcomm component for Apple, and silicon would also be made by the tech giant, with this report noticing it would be A18 chip.
It’s the same processor inside the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, which should make it lots fast and perhaps more important is the fact that it could handle Apple Intelligence. This means that you would be able to use ‘writing tools’, create a genmoji, use image playground and even remove annoying background objects or people from photos with ‘clean up.’ It would also make it suitable for a fairly long shelf life, something that has become a need for iPhone SE, as it is typically updated every few years.
Along with removing the home button, the iPhone will see fourth generation likely to switch to USB-C. While it is still available in the United States, it was taken off the shelves and ceased in the EU, partly in an attempt to comply with gates rules. When it arrives, Gurman thinks it will be around the same price point for the current model. Right now, iPhone SE starts third generation of $ 429 / £ 419 / AU $ 719, and it’s a competitive price for the iPhone lineup, especially considering the iPhone 16 starts at $ 899. However, some other reports have shown that the price could be a little higher.
As regards an arrival as next week, it would start Apple’s product from 2025. Rumor also arriving next week, as reported by Bloomberg, and the highly expected Powerbeats Pro 2 from Beats. Gurman Also notes that a MacBook air with the M4 chip, a new iPad on Entry-Level and a new iPad Air should arrive in the first half of 2025.
Of course, as with all Apple rumors, there is nothing official until the technology giant says it, so we’ll see what next week brings. In the meantime, we can look at Apple’s sweet, expressive robotic prototype.
