- Another rumor suggests that MacBook Pro Oled arrives at the end of 2026
- We have again been told that Samsung Display will manufacture the screen
- This is one of the more consistent MacBook rumors, with doubts about having sneaked into other theories
Another rumor shows that Apple is ready to release a MacBook Pro with an OLED screen later in 2026.
MacRumors discovered the report from the offer site.co.kr (a Korean site) that claims the Samsung display will be the only supplier of these OLED screens for an Apple MacBook that debuts late in 2026.
We are told that Samsung’s Gen 8.6 OLED joint tapes are easily able to meet the demand that Apple will require for OLED panels in its MacBook Pros. And that Samsung’s investment in this production capacity allows for an appropriate attractive production cost when it comes to the important bill of materials for MacBook.
Obviously, we have to be careful about any rumor, but this is not the first time we’ve heard Samsung’s name mentioned as the manufacturer of MacBooks OLED screen.
In March 2025, the well -known Apple Leaker Mark Gurman predicted that the big change for the MacBook Pro will not come until late in 2026 – with a larger redesign that centered on a Samsung ‘Tandem’ OLED (two panels that were together as it was, to allow for better brightness and power), and to make laps.
Furthermore, Apple can withdraw ‘notch’ on the screen for a ‘hollow -cut’ webcam.
Analysis: Changing time frames, maybe – but there is a constant
This year’s MacBook Pro will reportedly be a minor upgrade -if the Notebook update even arrives in 2025, as another (very recent) piece of speculation from Gurman suggests it has been delayed to the beginning of 2026. This will be the MacBook Pro M5, and the OLED model will come late in 2026 with M6 -Chip on board.
Of course, take all this with a grain of salt as it would be pretty unusual in terms of launching for Apple – but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen.
In short, the rumor mill has become a little confused about exactly what Apple’s MacBook plans are in terms of launch dates – perhaps because the company is thinking about these plans and moving time frames internally.
Whatever is the case, a rumor has remained quite constantly, which is that the MacBook Pro first gets OLED, and this will happen late in 2026 – with Samsung, which is now consistently mentioned as the manufacturer of the screen.
