‘Are you trying to press the court?’

Islamabad:

Acting Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar on Thursday opposed the amount of lawyers gathered in Rostrum during the case of the case of 190 million pounds, questioning whether they were trying to push the court and reminded them that such behavior violated the courtroom Decorum.

A division bench of IHC consisting of functioning Chief Justice and Justice Muhammad Asif heard PTI cartridge-I-chief Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibis appeals to suspension of judgment in the case.

During the hearing, PTI -Attorney Bargrister Salman Safdar appeared in court on behalf of the petitions, accompanied by a large number of lawyers in Rostrum.

The functioning Chief Justice opposed the amount of lawyers in Rostrum. “If only one lawyer will argue, why are so many assembled? Are you trying to press [the court]? This is not the courtroom duct. The rest should take their seats. If this situation persists, I will not hear this case. “

Special charges of Nab Javed Arshad requested four weeks of time to prepare, noting that he was only appointed one day ago and the case involved long quantities of items.

Barrister Safdar claimed that Nab under Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi’s management had already notified his prosecution team, and on June 5, prosecutor Rafay Maqsood had declared that they were not ready to argue.

Barrister Safdar also pointed out that one of the convicts is a woman, and according to practice women’s judgments are often suspended.

He asked the court to give them an opportunity to start their case and said it would only ensure transparency.

Arshad replied that he deserved a “fair opportunity” to prepare as he had never been part of the case before. I need time to review the record, he said.

Barrister Safdar noted that the case was finally determined after a long delay and requested that the hearing be scheduled for Monday.

The court accepted Nab’s request, which sought time to prepare the case and postponed the hearing, saying that the next date would be announced later.
