Argentina vs Puerto Rico football match moved from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale

A friendly football match between Argentina and Puerto Rico has been moved from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale in the middle of an immigration snack that occurs in the city.

The match to be held on October 13 at Chicago’s iconic soldier Field is now held at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on October 14, ESPN reported.

Chase Stadium is the home of Inter Miami, the club of the Argentine legend Lionel Messi, who is expected to play in the match.

“Yes, confirmation that Argentina against the Puerto Rico match has been canceled in Chicago,” confirmed Chicago Park District spokesman Luca Serra on Wednesday to Associated Press. “The promoter made the decision this morning due to low ticket sales.”

While Serra says low ticket sales, an Argentine football association manager said the unrest in Chicago led to the move.
