Army Football Player, Father Rescue Man from Car Wreck Moments before Disaster

An army footballer gets hailed like a hero after he and his father jumped in action in upstate New York During the weekend by pulling a man out of a disabled vehicle moments before it went up in flames.

On the way back to campus on Saturday night, Larry Jr. remembered To get out of the car with his father, Larry Pickett Sr., to check out poured power lines when they saw a car crashed into an auxiliary pole.

“My dad and I both got out of the car, ran against that car and saw that there was a gentleman who needed help,” he said during a performance at “Fox & Friends.”

“Thank you Jesus for this man to live to see another day! I am so grateful to my son LJ for saving his life! Not only does he have an influence in the classroom and on the football field at the US Military Academy at West Point, but he also makes a difference in his community,” Larry Sr. wrote. In a post on Facebook.

“Right after midnight, I looked at awe when my son, Larry Pickett Jr., ran against a burning vehicle and ignored the abandoned power lines that broke around it. With tremendously against, he pulled a man to safety and saved him from a fateful fate.”

Larry Jr. Going into his second season with Black Knights after a successful football career at Enloe High School in North Carolina, where he earned two-time all-state honors and three-time all-conference Honors.

He did not see any action as a beginner but recorded a tackle in his college -debut against Tarleton State On Friday.
