Army obliged to care for youth: Coas

Chief of Army Staff (Coas) General Syed Asim Munir on Saturday said Pakistan Army “is obliged to nurture the country’s youth”.

He expressed the view during his visit to Bahawalpur Cantonment, where he was assessed on operational emergency preparedness and training aspects of Bahawalpur Corps.

While approaching officers and troops, he praised their unwavering dedication, high morals and combat readiness, an ISPR news message said.

He reiterated that strict training remains the cornerstone of a soldier’s professional development and must continue to be the defining attribute of the Pakistani army in overcoming the challenges of modern warfare.

Coas inaugurated the CMH Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS), Innovista Cholistan and Integrated Combat Simulator Arena; Pioneering initiatives aimed at promoting medical education, information technology and combat readiness.

While at CIMS, he engaged with students from various universities over Bahawalpur and emphasized the army’s obligation to nurture the nation’s youth.

COAs urged students to pursue academic expertise with dedication and equip themselves with the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.

He paid tribute to the central role of the youth in the design of Pakistan’s future and confirmed the army’s support for initiatives that strengthen young talent.

Previously, Coas was received by his arrival by commander Bahawalpur Corps.
