Pakistan’s Olympic Hero Arshad Nadeem has once again proven his dominance in the field by securing a place in the final of the gentlemen’s spears at 2025 Asian Athletics Championships with a fantastic 86.34 meter throw on his very first attempt according to private news channel sources.
Nadeem’s powerful throws competing in Group A during the qualifying round, immediately placed him at the top of the leaderboard and confirmed his qualification for the final, which is scheduled for May 31 at. 13.10 Pakistan Standard Time (paragraph).
This marks his first major international performance since his record -breaking 92.97 m gold medal throw at Paris Olympics in 2024.

Participation in him in the final is colleague Pakistani javelin throw Yasir Sultan, who qualified from Group B with a respectable 76.7 m effort. The duo is part of a compact Pakistani athletics team with five members currently competing in Gumi, South Korea.
Nadeem, recently honored with the best Asian Athlet Award of the Asian Athletics Association, aims to add another gold medal to his growing collection, which includes titles from the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and other regional competitions.

This throw reinforces his status as one of Asia’s leading Friidrett’s athletes and a strong medal competition. Pakistan’s Athletics Association expressed confidence in the team and emphasized their ambition not only about competing but winning.

“This is the first big event after the Olympics and I have been working hard in the last five months,” Nadeem had said earlier. “I don’t compete with anyone else – my competition is with Arshad Nadeem himself.”
Previously, Nadeem was named the best Asian athlete of Asian athletics that recognized his remarkable results on the continental scene.
The 2025 Asian Athletics Championships have over 2,000 athletes from 43 countries. With Pakistan’s most decorated athlete in the highest form, the national hope is high for another podium finish.
Nadeem goes to England after this championship to begin preparations for the World Athletics Championships in September.
