Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Religious Harmony and PUC Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has said that Pakistan is committed to promoting interfaith harmony, dialogue, peace and tolerance to ensure national unity.
In a statement issued on Sunday on the occasion of the World Interfaith Harmony Week observed from February 1 to 7, Ashrafi said interfaith harmony is essential for peaceful coexistence and mutual respect between different religions and societies. The Prime Minister’s Coordinator said that Pakistan is a society enriched with religious, cultural, linguistic and ethnic diversity which should be protected through dialogue and understanding.
