Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab on Saturday inaugurated what is known as Asia’s largest cattle market, located near the northern bypass, and assured that all necessary events would be taken to tackle questions that buyers and dealers face.

Accompanied by Deputy Mayor Salman Murad praised the Wahab efforts from the market administration during the opening ceremony and said, “It feels like a particularly hot day, but let’s continue to smile – that’s how problems are resolved.”

He noticed the importance of the market and said, “Every year, millions of animals are brought to this market, and thousands of Karachiites come here to buy sacrificial animals. May Allah accept everyone’s victim and bless the traders with good earnings.”

Wahab emphasized the City Government’s obligation to improve facilities. “We are working to build a society where people support each other in difficulties. We will tackle security concerns and ensure cleanliness and convenience for both buyers and sellers,” he said.

He also highlighted the financial impact of the market. “The presence of this cattle market brings life to Karachi. When Karachi thrives, Pakistan thrives. Traders from all over the country come here to make fair profits,” he noted.

Congratulations on the administration of well -organized events, Wahab recognized that traffic issues usually arise in the last days of the market, but said the authorities would secure smooth operations. “The people of Karachi are generous – we expect trade to be significant.” Change “may have become an obsessed word, but this is a year of real improvement,” he said.

He concluded by confirming his party’s commitment: “Bilawal Bhutto’s representatives have set the way for progress and we will continue this development journey.
