Islamabad:
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on Saturday rejected claims from the Indian Air Force (IAF) chief of destruction of Pakistani fighter jets during Operation Sindoor and called them “as unlikely as they are poorly timed”.
The scare recovering came hours after air manager Marshal AP Singh claimed that IAF had shot five Pakistani fighter jets and another military aircraft during the military confrontation in May, where IAF, according to Pakistani officials, lost six warplanes.
In a statement sent on the microbloging site “X,” Defense Minister Asif said it was “ironic” that senior Indian military officers were made to the front “A monumental failure caused by the strategic short -sightedness of Indian politicians”.
He added that for three months after surgery, no such claims were made, while Pakistan had immediately given “detailed technical briefings” to the international media – supported by independent observations recognizing the loss of multiple Indian aircraft, including Rafale jet aircraft, as reported by world leaders, senior Indian politicians and foreign intelligence.
IAF runs 36 Rafale fighters, while India signed an agreement with France in April to buy another 26 Rafale aircraft worth $ 7.4 billion for its fleet, which has a fleet consisting mainly of Russian MIG-29 jet aircraft. Rafale is a double-motor multirole fighter aircraft designed and built by France’s Dassault Aviation.
While India officially denies the destruction of any of its war aircraft, French air manager General Jerome Bellanger has said he has seen evidence of the loss of three Indian warriors.
Asif reiterated that “not a single Pakistani aircraft was hit,” added that Pakistan had destroyed six Indian jets, the S-400 air defense batteries and unmanned aircraft while deactivating multiple Indian air bases. He said Indian forces had also suffered “disproportionately heavier” losses along the control line.
The challenge of India to “open their air stays for independent verification” warned the minister that such control would “put the reality that India seeks to hide.” He warned that “wars are not won by untruths, but by moral authority, national determination and professional competence”, adding that politically motivated “comedic tales” increased the risk of strategically wrong calculation in a nuclearized region.
House as if Operation Bunyanum Marsoos said the Minister of Defense that “any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity will invite a rapid, safe and proportionate reaction” and that any escalation would be responsible for “strategically blind leaders” that risk South Asia’s peace of “volatile political gains”.
Asif’s statement came hours after the IAF chief claimed they had shut down five PAF fighter jets and another military aircraft during Operation Sindoor. Most of the Pakistani aircraft said Singh was shot down by India’s Russian-made S-400 surface-to-air missile system. He also claimed that electronic tracking data confirmed the strikes.
“We have at least five fighters confirmed killed, and a big plane,” he said, adding that the big aircraft – which could be a surveillance plan – were shot down at a distance of 300 km. “This is actually the largest ever -registered drab in surface to air,” he added.
Singh did not mention the type of fighter jet that was allegedly discontinued, but said that air strikes also hit another surveillance plan and “a few F -16” fighters parked in hangars at two airbases in southeastern Pakistan.
