Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that Pakistan can perform operations in Afghanistan to target terrorists.
In a speech with a private channel, the defense minister said, “If we are to go for Pakistan’s enemies in any country, we will do so.”
He emphasized that Pakistan can take strong action against forces that provide safe ports to hostile elements. With regard to the forbidden Tehrik-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Asif accused the Afghan government of supporting TTP terrorists.
He also claimed that TTP during the term of office of former Prime Minister Imran Khan was brought back to the region.
