- ASUS teased it is to ‘make something up’ on x (formerly twitter)
- We believe that the device may be the rumor Xbox Handheld
- The computer tag promises more power with the device
Sure we’re all waiting for Nintendo to waste all the remaining beans around Switch 2 under its ‘Direct’ Live Stream on April 2, 2025, but another handheld is throwing our attention right now.
Asus has just formally teased a game that is hand -held in one of the most lovely ways possible. This comes after rumors of Microsoft, who collaborates with the tech brand about a potential Xbox game handheld. We hope it means a device that is as well equipped as a steam tire with Xbox Flare.
The teaser laid out on X (formerly Twitter) reads: “Our little robot friend boils something up … #rog #rogally #Playallyourgames #NEXTLEVELGAMING” and has a 34-second video of the ‘Little Robot Friend’, which builds something on a big screen screen and then throws a rog ally and a rog raiki pro-Controller in a match.

What’s coming out? It is apparently the rumor of the ASUS X Xbox handheld and we couldn’t be more excited. The device that appears has a simple character that flashes with one eye with a laugh and checks on each side.
It is worth noting that on the screen during the building process, work is being done on: Four things work on:
- Marathon perseverance
- Faster speeds
- More capacity
- Fresh look!
E -qualities of both an upgrade to Asus Rog Ally and what you want from a portable handheld console. While the original post on X does not exactly mention Xbox everywhere, this post comes after rumors earlier this year and Xbox slid in here with an answer.
The social team on Xbox responded with a member showing a side-eye, at least hopefully hinting at that partnership or maybe just causing false hope for all of us.
Either way, whether this future ASUS ROG device is running on the Xbox platform or choosing an alternative operating system, it certainly looks like it will be plenty powerful. ASUS also seems to want to get ahead of Nintendo’s much -enhanced direct power on April 2, 2025.
As for when ASUS we share more, no exact date or timeframe is given. Although Computex 2025, which starts on May 19, 2025, is a potential event where this device could debut. Either route, stick with Techradar for the news when it breaks down during April 2nd Nintendo Direct and Forever when ASUS is ready to share more.
