At least 14 terrorists killed in Balochistan’s Zhob -District: ISPR

Security forces killed at least 14 terrorists in a ‘sanitization’ operation near the Sambaza area of Zhob -District on the night of August 8 and 9, the military said in a statement Saturday

According to the military’s media wing, weapons, ammunition and explosives were regained from those killed. The statement added that security forces remain obliged to protect the country’s borders and prevent attempts to undermine peace, stability and progress.

The action followed earlier engagements in the same area on August 7 and 8, when 33 terrorists were killed, which brought the total amount to 47 in two days of terrorist operations.

“Own troops engaged effectively and prevented their attempts to infiltrate. As a result of precise, bold and skilled commitment, 33 Indian sponsored Khwarij were sent to hell,” it added. “A large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for foiling the infiltration attempt. “The brave staff of the security forces risked their lives to stop the terrorists and frustrate their dishonest design,” he said in a statement from his office.

The premiere emphasized the nation’s support to the security forces and said that “the whole nation stands with security forces in their fight against terrorism.” He repeated his commitment to removing all forms of terrorism from the country and emphasized the government’s willingness to maintain peace and security.
