Balochistan:
A police officer was martyrated and three others wounded after unidentified gunmen opened fire on their vehicle near choto along the National Highway in Mastung district on Friday, provincial officials said.
According to a spokesman for the Balochistan government, Shahid Scind, the targeted vehicle belonged to a functioning deputy for police (DSP). DSP remains unharmed in the attack.
The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate medical assistance.
“The security forces have been sent to the site and a search operation is underway to track attackers,” the spokesman said.
Rind confirmed that the attack seemed to be a targeted attack on the officer’s vehicle.
Authorities have not yet provided details of the striker’s motive or identity.
