- PM calls for dialogue, respect for sovereignty at the SCO summit.
- Says Pakistan has evidence of foreign support in terrorist attacks.

While highlighting the threat of state -sponsored terrorism, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday called on respect for sovereignty, regional dialogue and a collective approach to terrorism when he treated the 25th summit in the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Tianjin.
The premiere, who termed his presence in Tianjin in honor, said the city represents China’s basic values and acts as a bridge between civilizations and cultures.
By confirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and cooperation, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that SCO reflects Islamabad’s sustained decision to strengthen regional connection and cooperation.
PM said: “We call for the maintenance of bilateral and international agreements and said,“ We [Pakistan] Expect SCO member countries to follow all bilateral treaties. Uninterrupted access to a proper proportion of water, according to existing treaties, is important to strengthen SCO’s targets. “
He also said: “Pakistan believes in multilateralism, dialogue and diplomacy, not one -sidedism or confrontation … there is nothing more sacred than sovereignty and territorial integrity of any nation.”
PM Shehbaz also called for a comprehensive dialogue to solve many years of problems in South Asia. “Stability in Afghanistan remains throughout the region’s interest,” the prime minister said.
The Prime Minister also condemned terrorism in all its forms and called state -sponsored terrorism and said, “Those who have long used terrorism to promote political interests must know that the world no longer buys this fictional narrative.”
‘Foreign involvement in terrorist attacks’
The premiere continued to say that Pakistan has undeniable evidence of foreign involvement in recent terrorist attacks, including Jaffer Express incident and attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
“Those responsible for these abominable crimes and their facilitators must be held responsible,” he claimed.
He highlighted Pakistan’s fight against terrorism and said, “We [Pakistan] has sacrificed over 90,000 lives, including children, mothers, engineers, researchers, citizens and officers – not only for Pakistan, but for peace and security throughout the region. “
Highly critical Israeli actions in Gaza he said: “[The] Continuous atrocities and hunger in Gaza is a permanent scar on our collective conscience. “He repeated Pakistan’s support for a two-state solution in accordance with UN decisions.
The Prime Minister also condemned the unjustified and unacceptable aggression against Iran of Israel.
On China’s role, Prime Minister Shehbaz praised President Xi Jinping’s leadership and added: “China’s success is a reflection of his visionary and wise leadership. Its global leadership is not only in SCO but across major international initiatives.”
He expressed gratitude to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese government for unique hospitality and excellent events.
PM Shehbaz described the China-Pakistani economic corridor (CPEC) as a flagship project that exemplifies mutual cooperation and regional development.
