An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Quetta refused police further physical custody of the Baloch Yakjeti Committee’s chief Dr. Mahrang Baloch and other BYC members on Friday and sent the political prisoners on the court in custody instead.
The case was heard by ATC judge Muhammad Ali Mubeen in Quetta. The BYC leaders were arrested on March 22 due to allegations of “attacking” Quetta Civil Hospital and “Inciting People to Violence”.
For the first time in six months, BYC leaders, including Dr. Mahrang Baloch, handed over the court’s custody instead of being sent back to repeated bicycles by police custody.
