Islamabad/Rawalpindi:
An anti-terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday extended the temporary bail of Bushra Bibi, Kona to the PTI founder, in 31 cases attached to the protests on November 26, until April 29.
ATC judge Amjad Ali Shah also expanded the preliminary bails by Azam Swati, Naeem Panjutha, Mishal Yousafzai and Sanam Javed until April 15, while PTI -Secretary Salman Salman Akram Raja received bail extension until April 21 in the case of October 5 protests.
The court also ordered Bushra Bibi to participate in the investigations in FIR’s registered in Attock, and instructed she was interrogated in the presence of her husband – imprisoned PTI Foundation Chairman Imran Khan – and legal adviser.
During the case, the investigative team stated the court that Bushra Bibi had already joined investigations in cases registered in Rawalpindi district, but the probe remained incomplete. The court ordered the investigators to conduct the investigation and submit the report before the next consultation.
All affected investigative staff and the special prosecutor Syed Zaheer Shah were present during the hearing.
The court has postponed additional procedures for the temporary guarantee applications in the November 31, 26. Cases until April 29.
In a parallel development in Islamabad, ATC judges Tahir Abbas Sipra awarded Tening Bail for PTI leader Omar Ayub in eight separate fours linked to the protests on November 26. The court retained police from arresting him until April 29 and ordered him to cooperate with the investigations.
Ayub appeared in court along with its legal team and submitted guarantee-arrested applications in eight cases registered at several police stations, including Kohsar, Margalla, Tarnol and Aabpara police stations.
