Rawal Pindis Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Syed Amjad Ali Shah issued on Friday arrests of 34 absconding accused, including PTI leaders Shehryar Afridi, Kanwal Shauzab, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema and Umar Tanveer Butt in connection with the GHQ attack.
The court ordered the police to arrest the defendants and present them in court on May 29.
On Friday, PTI founder IMRAN KHAN’s lawyer, lawyer Malik Faisal, argued arguments about a constitutional plea seeking a joint trial while the prosecution will argue on May 29.
Faisal claimed that all cases of May 9 are of a similar nature, involve identical charges and relate to the same day, therefore they should be heard and tried together.
The court during its procedure in Adiala Prison Today (Saturday) distributes copies of charging sheets in eleven May 9 -SAGER, including GHQ GATE NO 4 -attack, attacks on a sensitive agency building in Saddar, Army Museum Attack and Metro Bus Station Arson.
The court ordered all investigative officers to appear with full documentation.
Separately, the court confirmed temporary bails by journalist Sami Ibrahim in Protest cases on October 4 and 5, subject to the Bail Belvis on RS50,000 each.
However, preliminary bails for PTI members Sardar Ali Khan and Javed Kausar were rejected in November 26 D-CHOWK PROTESTESTAG. Both avoided arrest by remaining absent.
Given the prison negotiation, tight security has been deployed in Adiala Prison today.
