ATCs to hear 9 May -Sake Four Days a Week

Lahore:

To speed up the trials in May 9 cases, courts against terrorism will conduct hearings four days a week.

According to the new changed schedule, the courts against terrorism will hear May 9 cases Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The decision was made at a meeting held on May 9, 2025, following the Supreme Court’s directives to quit cases on May 9 of four months.

Previously, the ATCs conducted these trials three days a week.

Meanwhile, the prosecution failed to present the registration of cases against PTI founder Imran Khan and other PTI leaders for anti-terrorism courts in the last several hearings of May 9 cases.

The prosecution claimed that the post was submitted at the Point Court.

On Wednesday, the prosecution once again failed to submit the record for the several cases registered against PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi. The prosecution claimed that they were busy in prison trials and were not aware of Qureshi’s bail. They sought time to produce the record and promote arguments.

Qureshi’s lawyer Rana Mudasar said the prosecution uses the delay of tactics to extend the attempts against his client.
