Rawalpindi:
District Bar Association observed a complete strike on Monday, boycotting the court’s procedure in protest of the alleged assault, abuse and false four against former Bar -joint secretary Malik Tajammul Awan and senior lawyer Chaudhry Rizwan Elahi of the Traffic Police staff.
During the barricade, lawyers unanimously adopted a decision to ban the entry of traffic guards and traffic policemen in the District Court of Justice.
The bar president and the secretary warned of strong consequences whether the “false and retaliation” case against the lawyers is not withdrawn and no action is taken against the responsible traffic guards.
They also called for the City Traffic Officer (CTO) to be prevented from entering court, declaring that the traffic police mismatch will no longer be tolerated.
Bar Secretary Malik Asad Mahmood declared that no law allows traffic guards to act violently or abusively and add, “This case will not be treated as a routine. Strict action must be taken against the responsible Warden.”
A decision that condemns the construction of the traffic leader involved was also adopted. As part of the strike, lawyers did not appear in any trial that brought judicial activity to standstill across districts, civilians, family and special courts.
