After Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Penalty, Aubrey O’day broke her silence and responded to her prison sentence.
Taking to her x (formerly twitter), the former member of Diddy’s Group, Danity KaneCalled Diddy’s 4-year prison period of prostitution-related charges.
“Let this serve as a cautious reminder to young and hopeful persons pursuing their dreams,” said O’day, who did not testify to the disgraceful rapper in his trial. “The true warning is not that a jury may doubt your testimony, nor that a court’s criminal court guidelines may not reflect the years of suffering you endured.”
O’day continued to say, “The real warning is this: the moment someone in a position of power transcends your boundaries or requires more than there is legitimately required of you, goes away and does not look back. No dream, no matter how light, can offset the pain and exploitation that may follow if you remain.”
“Too often, those who abuse their power, even when exposed, face far fewer consequences than the damage caused to their victims,” she noted.
For the unwifery, O’day had previously accused Combs of nurturing her on Crysis Queen Podcast
The former girl-bandmate who encouraged the victims of abuse and said, “Protect yourself by the first sign of coercion or dishonesty. If something feels wrong, you should trust that instinct and remove yourself from the situation. Your well-being is worth more than any option.”
O’day also praised Diddy’s ex -boyfriend, Cassie Ventura, to show up and testified against the rapper in his trial.
She said, “My heart goes out to Cassie at this moment. I hope she can internalize the court’s recognition of the extraordinary courage it took for her to arrive, knowing that her voice was heard. The judge recognized his behavior as a submission and that was what it was.”
On October 3, Diddy was sentenced to four years in prison after he was convicted of two transport counts to participate in prostitution.
It is relevant to mention that he was not found guilty of racketing and s ** trade in charges, crimes that could have sent him to prison for life.
