Audio has been released when Gregg Popovich reportedly suffered a medical emergency at a restaurant in San Antonio last month.
The now-earlier San Antonio Spur’s head coach ate at a steakhouse as he reportedly fainted. Popovich then left in an ambulance.
Caller said Popovich “didn’t answer” first. He updated the sending that Popovich “barely answered” and had “gone out a little” according to TMZ.

Popovich reportedly did not suffer any life -threatening injuries or illnesses, and he was aware when he entered the ambulance.
The 76-year-old had already recovered from a stroke that led him to be missing everyone except the first six games of the 2024-25 season.
Shortly after the reported medical scare, Popovich resigned as head coach.
“While my love and passion for the game leftovers, I have decided that it is time to go away as a main coach,” Popovich said in a statement earlier this month. “I am eternally grateful to the wonderful players, coaches, staff and fans who let me serve them as a spurs head coach and am excited about the opportunity to continue to support the organization, the community and the city that are so meaningful to me.”

Popovich is transferring full time to president of basketball operations.
Popovich’s tenure ends after a nearly three decade that saw him training the spurs for five NBA Championships. He remains the league’s all-time winner leader and has the most playoff winner with a team of any coach in the NBA story. His career, which also included being named NBA coach in the year three times and an Olympic gold medal, served him somewhere in the Hall of Fame in 2023.
The team missed the playoffs this year after Victor Wembanyama missed a healthy part of the season of blood clots.

The spurs have the second overall election in the NBA draft, two years after choosing Wembanyama first.
