Autotuned National Anthem that Orioles Game draws mixed reactions from fans

Baltimore Orioles Fans received an interesting reproduction of “The Star-Spangled Banner” before swept the New York Mets into a double heads on Thursday night, but apparently not all were impressed with the autotunated version.

Dan Deacon, the Baltimore-based recording artist known for his “innovative electronic music”, welcomed fans with just that before Orioles took care of Mets 3-1 in games 1 and 7-3 in games 2.

“I think Orioles officially hit the rock floor,” a person wrote in a post on X.

The video of Deacon’s performance received over 1.2 million views, leaving fans at home and in the stands a little confused.

“I’m like switching between ‘what is this’ and ‘I feel it,'” wrote a person on X.

But fans on Deacon’s Instagram, which has over 47,000 followers, seemed to appreciate his unique performance.

“Dan sings the anthem and O’s coward the double header against one of the best teams in The league. Coincidence? I don’t think, ”a person wrote.

“100% This is why we won the game,” another added.

Jordan Westburg homes and drove in three races, while Alex Jackson doubled twice and scored two races in his Baltimore debut to help Orioles win for the fifth time in six games. Meanwhile, Met’s 1.5 games behind Filadelphia fell in first place in NL East after sinking to 14-16 in the Interleague game.
