Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said the government would reveal the Ramazan-Nut Aid Package this year, the role of the tools to prevent the corruption and distribution of low-quality raw materials to the people.
“As the Holy Ramazan is about to start, I have asked the Ministry of National Food Security to create a Ramzan package without the aid stores [Corporation (USC)] To prevent corruption and sale of low quality material. I had asked many months ago that this cannot continue with the supply stores, “said the prime minister in his television requests at the meeting in the federal cabinet that was chairman of him.
He told the cabinet members that last year the government had received many complaints about the execution of the Ramazan package of the auxiliary stores. Therefore, the government has devised a solution to deliver the plant minus the supply shops.
The Prime Minister ordered immediate measures to operate the Gwadar port on a commercial basis and instructed the formation of a committee under the Presidency of Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal to work with all stakeholders to transform it into a modern and fully functional port.
Iqbal gave a detailed orientation about the Gwadar port at the cabinet meeting.
The Prime Minister also instructed to organize an international conference to raise awareness of the importance of Gwadar Port. “A comprehensive marketing and attention strategy should be devised, and diplomatic efforts regarding Gwadar Port should be accelerated.”
He also sought details of import and exports performed through Gwadar Port. The meeting was informed that Gwadar Port had the capacity to provide cost -effective and time -efficient access to the Persian Gulf of vessels of up to 50,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT) and to facilitate transmission to the golflands.
In addition, the port was expected to play an important role in the development of mining and aqua-culture sectors in Balochistan Province. Western parts of China and the Central Asian states would also benefit from this port.
The meeting was further informed that Gwadar Free Zone was exempt from all federal, provincial and local taxes, and the rules of the free zone were completed.
It was revealed that between 2018 and 2022 criminal negligence was shown in terms of excavation in the Gwadar port, which seriously affected its depth. However, excavation was completed in 2022-23, after which its depth had been restored. All necessary supply services were now delivered in Gwadar Port, it was added.
The meeting was also informed of several public welfare projects in Gwadar, including Pak-China Friendship Hospital, Gwadar Institute of Technical Education, Pak-China Primary School, Gwadar Livelihood Project, Gwadar Fisheries Processing and Export Zone and Gwadar Solar Park.

Gwadar-Quetta Highway was completed in 2018, which benefits areas such as Turkat, Hoshab and Panjgur. In addition, the remaining sections of the M-8 motorway (Gwadar-Hoshab-Rato Dero) were under construction to connect Gwadar with Sukkur.

The Minister suggested modernizing shipping inspection facilities in Gwadar Port and using artificial intelligence for this purpose. The prime minister appreciated the briefing.
About the launch of polio vaccination operation, he mentioned the killing of a policeman Abdul Khaliq in Jamud, who was deployed on the safety of the polio team and paid tribute to his victim to make Pakistan a poliofri nation.

After judging the cabinet members of his Quetta visit on Monday, the prime minister said he was visiting the hospital to ask for the security staff who were injured in an anti-terror operation in Kalat, where 18 security staff were martyrated and 23 terrorists were removed.
“I met the wounded. They were in high morals and were even ready to sacrifice their lives for the country.

The prime minister expressed joy that inflation came down to a nine-year-old low of 2.4% from 28.73% in one month to month.
He congratulated the entire nation, the cabinet members especially the finance minister, his team, FBR and others for their efforts in the last 11 months to bring inflation down to the lowest level.
“Now we fully strive to go towards economic growth … This is the biggest challenge. All our energies will be focused on economic growth. Like other goals, we will achieve this too,” he decided.
He told the cabinet members that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent a delegation to Pakistan on Monday, and both sides signed an agreement where the Kingdom would give oil a year $ 1.2 billion on exposed payment.
In addition, Saudi Development Fund will also provide a loan for a $ 40 million water supply scheme project in Mansehra.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also paid tribute to the approval of agricultural income tax by all four provinces under the IMF condition and thanked the main ministers, President Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif for their support in this regard.
