Ayaneo’s latest Windows-based laptop is Ayaneo 3
Ayaneo comes with modular controls, one first on the market
Its cheapest price point is $ 700 and the most expensive is $ 1,800
Ayaneo has put a wide range of high -quality handheld games. While the Chinese hardware company mainly focused on Android-based laptops in 2024, it returns to shape with the new Windows-based flagship that was handed out first in November.
Ayaneo 3 is a direct successor to its Ayaneo 2 Launched in February 2023 and was released as a rival to the steam deck. Ayaneo 3 not only upgrades the specifications, but it also adds new features to improve the gaming experience.
In terms of specifications, there are two models to choose from. The first one is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U CPU with eight cores and 16 threads, 3.3 GHz watch and an NPU of 16 tops.
The second model contains the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU with 12 cores and 24 threads, a basic rate of 2GHz and an NPU of 50tops. The former will be available in any configuration except 4TB RAM, while the latter starts at 32 GB instead of 16 GB and leaves there.
You can also choose between 7-inch LCD and OED screens for any model with different screens. The LCD screen has an update speed of 120Hz/60Hz and maximizes at 500 NITs. OLED has a 144Hz/120Hz/90Hz/60Hz update and maximizes at 800 nits.
Why its modular controls mean something
What really separates Ayaneo 3 from the rest is its modular controls, which are unique to virtually any other game. Modular controls mean that the directional cushion, analog stick and buttons can be physically changed or turned to provide a more adaptable experience. This allows you to match controls to controllers such as PlayStation and Xbox or create your own matchdoor for titles like Street Fighter 6 .
The controls themselves are also decorated specifically. Joysticks and Triggers use Hall effect sensors with a 4MS response time. Triggers also have two modes: linear condition which gives you 7.5 mm travel distance to enable precise analog input and tactile state, reducing the driving to 3 mm for the repeated buttons known in FPS games.
Right now you can support Ayaneo 3 in its crowdfunding Campaign at Indiegogo . The price ranges from $ 700 for the 16 GB/512 GB model without a complete set of input modules and $ 1,800 for 64 GB/4TB with a complete set. An additional set runs $ 100 while a backup – storage case – in Starry Black, Sky White and Retro Power – costs $ 33.
Although the top pricing is an eye -watering amount (and the lowest amount is still nothing to sneeze), it is meant as a premium portable system of unique features. Its point of sale is that its competition, like the steam deck or Lenovo Legion Go, cannot match it in that sense. And if Ayaneo 3 finds its foot, it could cut a brand new niche on the handheld game.
