Peshawar:
In a first for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), a female police officer has been appointed rank as a senior superintendent for police (SSP), an official report issued by the province’s police chief.
Ayesha Yellow, which comes from the Swabi district, is one of the police service in Pakistan (PSP) and has previously served as additional Inspector General (AIG) gender services. She is currently serving in Class-18 and recently returned to Pakistan after completing a professional education course abroad.
Yellow has been published as a SSP study in Peshawar, stated the message of the KP inspector. Her appointment marks a significant milestone for gender representation in the provincial law enforcement sector, which has traditionally been male dominated.
The KP Police People’s Ministry described the move as part of the ongoing efforts to promote inclusion and credit-based progress in the field of strength.
