Backlash in connection with the teacher’s appointment as exam controller

Almost all Sindh Education Boards have Vacancies for Controllers of Examinations, Board Secretaries, Audit Officers

KARACHI:

The Sindh Department of Universities and Boards has reportedly initiated preparations to appoint a junior college teacher as the controller of examinations at Inter Board Karachi, marking the second such controversial move in two months. The appointment is being considered based on a request submitted by the teacher, who is currently a Grade-18 Assistant Professor in a government college in Quaidabad. However, the Controller of Examinations post is a Class-19 post.

Sources state that the relevant teacher’s deputation to the Inter Board is pending, with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) sought from the College Education Department. Inter Board Karachi has also reportedly been consulted for comments on the matter.

According to officials, this is not the first case of such irregular postings. Earlier, a director of inspection from the Larkana Board was temporarily transferred to the Karachi Inter Board, only for the decision to be reversed after the mistake was recognised.
