Google makes an appointment to book pages directly available within its calendar app sidebar on web and mobile in an attempt to make it easier to find a mutually comfortable time.
The new Google calendar feature makes it easier to book time, especially for external contacts such as customers and partners, without having to share full visibility in your calendar.
Users without an appointment plan get a pre -configured reservation page based on working hours that are automatically updated to avoid conflicts.
Google Calendar gets a tighter planning integration
With Calendly and other rivals growing in a hybrid, post-pandemic, Google has been busy in recent months tying calendar and gmail together more to make it easier for contacts to plan time together.
“By giving users an easier way to book time with others, streamline this change planning process, which is especially useful for customers, partners or people outside an organization that may not have visibility in someone else’s calendar,” Google wrote.
A mobile view of the pre -configured booking page is only available on mobile after it has been viewed online, Google explained in a product message. Most core features such as creating, editing and deleting booking sites are limited to the Internet only.
Appointment planning has already begun to roll out to all Google Workspace customers as well as workspace Individual subscribers and person account holders and will be widely available in early September 2025.
The latest update is not long after the company also added Google Calendar Agreement -Booking -Side Support to Gmail.
For this, users must click on the calendar icon at the bottom of an E email draft to create a reservation page that can be inserted directly IE email.
This feature is now fully rolled out to the same types of accounts.
