Nvidia RTX 5090 Supply looks very shaking according to a British retailer
Overclockers have a worst-case ETA of 16 weeks for RTX 5090 stock
RTX 5080 is better but can still take up to six weeks before it is available to buy again
Nvidia’s RTX 5090 Aktie situation is pretty serious to put it mildly and be able to stay like that for longer than you would expect and RTX 5080 also look unhealthy, by going after the prediction of a British retailer.
When you are undoubtedly aware that if you have multiplied a purchase of one of the new Blackwell graphics cards, the RTX 5090 and 5080 are not in stock anywhere (except at auction sites where Scalpers flogs their bad GPUs at massively inflated request prices Of course).
According to a larger components dealer in the UK, Overclockers (OCUK), the RTX 5090 and 5080 stock are sold out and (surprisingly) pre -orders are no longer offered and they will not be until the company has “greater clarity of accessibility and has fulfilled the pre -orders, We have taken. “
We are told by OCUK (in the above post on x) that ETA for stock of RTX 5090 is three to 16 weeks and ETA for RTX 5080 is two to six weeks, a little more tasty, but still a potentially a potentially long wait .
Note that pre -orders that have been placed with OCUK (but not yet sent) are in a queue and the retailer “works with our supply chain to fulfill these within the ETAs above or before if possible.”

Analysis: Another GPU -launch Hit with Stock Misery
Surely, a bit of stock of these RTX 5000 GPUs are going to come in during February? That must be the case (I assume), but the way in which the above statements are formulated makes it sound to me like the small amount of Blackwell graphics cards arriving goes against fulfilling existing pre-orders. So there will be no available stock to actually buy on the OCUK website for quite a long time – perhaps towards the longest end of the ETAs delivered.
The fact that the RTX 5090 is pushed out to a possible 16 weeks goes far past the most pessimistic thoughts I had. It would set us almost at the end of May, before the ‘Buy’ button lights up again on some of the flagship Blackwell models, an eyebrow-raising view.
Perhaps more disappointing is the news that this dealer will not have stock of RTX 5080, a much less niche Proposition than the RTX 5090, for maybe up to six weeks. It had set us in mid -March before the graphics card was available again (maybe only cards).
We should not be brought away with the time frames from just one dealer, of course, and the worst cases presented by Ocuk-but this of course reflect pretty much everything we see right now. And the general accusation that a ‘paper launch’ was leveled by Nvidia, which means a launch without a real amount of stock behind it (in light of the high demand).
Unless we get a speedy recovery for the RTX 5080 share that runs against OCUK’s expectations -we don’t expect the RTX 5090 to be back on the shelves in any way, especially considering that its blackwell -chip (GB202) cards, not gaming products – Much hope lies with the incoming RTX 5070.
NVIDIAS RTX 5070 Vanilla -Version uses another GB205 -chip – RTX 5070 Ti is built with GB203 (a rumor now confirmed), also the engine of RTX 5080 – and therefore we can hope that Nvidia has more a depth GB205 production, especially when the RTX 5070 comes a little later. (If rumors are right, perhaps at the end of February – it is even a delay in March, which of course would not be a positive development).
All in all, however, the situation looks clearly cut with the Blackwell stock for now, and AMD has a chance to fully utilize this by building good levels of RDNA 4 supply at retail to the launch of its RX 9070 models in March to Tag Nvidia’s RTX 5070 graphics card. This is a clear opportunity for Team Red in the middle class in the GPU market, although AMD has had its own erroneous errors with the RDNA 4 launch, it must be said.
Those looking for an NVIDIA Blackwell graphics card should keep an eye on our guides on where to buy an RTX 5090 and an RTX 5080 where we keep you updated if we look in stock coming back in large retailers. Good luck out there, GPU hunters, but so far the prospects remain severely bleak.
