- Reedus was surprised that the franchise’s leading star and executive producer had no idea of his commitment
Norman Reedus has revealed – entertaining – that Keanu Reeves did not know that Reedus had been thrown in From John Wick’s World: Ballerina.
The Walking Dead Star told Techradar about his own surprise that Reeves had no idea of Reedus’ commitment to John Wick Univere’s latest post. In fact, Reedus joked that it was “weird” that the man who was synonymous with gun-fu-franchisen-Reeves plays the franchise’s titular Hitman and is a performing producer on his various projects-apparently kept in the dark about her employment.
Reedus and Reeves have become close friends because of their mutual love for motor sports and especially motorcycles. In fact, Reeves is just as well known to be a motorcycle-Obsessive-so much that he founded his own production company in 2011. Meanwhile, Reedus plays regularly in his own Travel Docu series- Ride with Norman Reedus – On the US network AMC, which began in 2016 and has been running for six seasons so far.
You should then think that Reeves would have been aware of Reedus’ Casting in Ballerina. Not so revealed the latter to me when I asked if he sought advice from Reeves when I came to Wick-Vers.
“I didn’t talk to Keanu [beforehand]But I texted him after I got it, “said Reedus.” He was like, ‘Wait you’re in it?’ I don’t think he knew what was weird to me because I thought he would! “
When I followed up to ask if it put additional pressure on Reedus to deliver a top-tier performance, he replied, “Yes, but only because it’s a John Wick movie. You won’t be the guy who ruins John Wick franchise. I’m a big fan of all these movies, so you’ll do as well as a job as you can.”
Who is Daniel, the enigmatic character played by Norman Reedus in Ballerina?
Look at
We hear you loudly and clearly, Lose Reedus, but I can imagine that fans will know more about Daniel, ie. The character you play in the fourth John Wick movie (yes, chronologically, anyway -for more information about the movie series’ Timeline, read my guide to how to watch the John Wick movies in order).
So without spoiling anything important what could Reedus tell me about the mysterious individual he wants to produce in Ballerina?
“He comes from one of these … He has a story with a militant fraction,” Reedus said as he carefully considered his answer. “He is someone with a kind of family privilege, so I imagined how he grew up, the training he had to do, and saw all the bad things he probably did in his life.
“But then there is this new element that changes Daniel’s perspective on who he is and what he is doing,” he added, “and then when you meet him in BallerinaHe is basically willing to fight everyone to protect something other than himself. “
You can find out what I was thinking about Reedus’ character as well as the film as a whole, in my Ballerina Examination. Before one of 2025’s new films arrive in theaters on June 6, be sure to catch up more of my exclusive coverage about it and the wider action -thriller -franchise below.
