Balochistan Uplift Top Priority: PM

Despite the Eid festivities, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held back-to-back meetings on Wednesday, discussing the country’s security situation with special reference to Balochistan.

He first met with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, who briefed him on the situation in his province. The Prime Minister also met Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi separately to get a briefing on the overall security situation.

In his meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister, the Prime Minister held detailed discussions of financial, social and law and order situation in Balochistan. The ongoing development projects started by the federal government in Balochistan also came under discussion at the meeting.

The premiere emphasized providing all possible support for the development of Balochistan. He confirmed that the development of Balochistan was among the top priorities of the federal government and all possible steps would be taken in that regard.

Interior Minister

Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday and briefed him on national security and continuous developments in the country.

He also expanded Eidul Fitr greetings to the Prime Minister and discussed the security measures. He also informed the Prime Minister about progress in the repatriation process for Afghan citizens.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the law and the order situation, especially in Eid days. The questions related to the Ministry of the Interior were also under discussion during the meeting.
