- Battlefield 6 Will be a “cruel and real” experience as previous items in the series
- Battlefield Studios UX -Director Alan Pimm said the game will have another atmosphere to Battlefield 2042
- The developer also said it is “not a military sim” but “it has enough of the gravel that you feel it is credible”
According to EA, Battlefield 6 Will be a modern military shooter inspired by previous items in the series and designed to be a “cruel and real” experience for players.
In an interview with Techradar Gaming at Battlefield 6 Multiplayer Reveal Event, Battlefield Studios user experience director Alan Pimm said the game’s return to a modern surroundings after the futuristic Battlefield 2042 Was something the study knew players would have.
“Battlefield 3 And 4 was our strongest mice, “said Pimm.” It was the ones who were in the same kind of modern frame, which is what people want. They don’t want ultra-modern or futuristic. They want today’s weapon, it was the strong thing that came out of research. “
The developer said the upcoming shooter will look very different from 2042Especially with regard to the color palette and the overall atmosphere, and returns to “Grit” the series is best known for.
“It remembers that dirt should be dirty. We are not a pristine, sterile environment anymore. You have dusted, the particles, the mud … you do not run around in a hero cap,” Pimm explained.
“You don’t run around in a hero cap. You know you’re the soldier on the battlefield with your friends among the muck and dust and explosions. The fiber of everything we’ve done in this goes ‘let’s make it cruel. Let’s make it cruel and real.’
“It’s not military SIM, it’s not where we go, it’s still fun, but it’s enough of the gravel that you feel it’s credible.”
