The BBC has admitted their “lapse” in editorial standards regarding requirements that Prince Harry has made in his recent conversation.
After the court gave advantage to the Home Office in Harry’s security case.
The BBC noted that radio 4s Today Show could not challenge the Duke of Sussex’s claim that downgrading his British security was “an establishment stitch.”
Broadcaster also noted that today did not present the position of the Home Office and Buckingham Palace.
Prince Harry also said the king could help in the case, not by intervening, but by getting out of the way and letting the officials do their job.
In a statement of the interview BBC Said, “claims were repeated that the process had been ‘an establishment seam’ and we failed to challenge this and other accusations correctly.”
“This was a lapse in our usual high editorial standards,” the BBC added.
After the interview, a spokesman for Buckingham Palace responded to Prince Harry’s claims and said, “All these questions have been examined repeatedly and carefully by the courts, with the same conclusion reached at each occasion.”
