Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a toe injury that beat him out of the game against Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Bengals ‘offensive line had trouble dealing with Jaguars’ Pasrush and forced Burrow to crawl around his pocket. In the second quarter, this pressure led to Burrow’s damage after he was fired.
Burrow threw his helmet after the bag at Jaguars’ Arik Armstead and lay back in clear discomfort. After being on the grass for a moment, he jumped up on his feet, but he was unable to put pressure on his foot.

When Bengals’ defense chose Trevor Lawrence, it was not a hole that came out on the field, but Jake Browning, who ran the violation in his place. Instead, Burrow was spotted to need help going into the dressing room.
Burrow ended with only 76 passing yards of 7-AF-13 passing with a touchdown to Ja’marr Chase.

Fortunately for Bengals, Browning was up to the challenge as he led Cincinnati to a comeback -win late in the fourth quarter.
After forcing a turnover of downs near their goal line, Browning led a 92-yard drive into 15 pieces, closing it with a one-yard touchdown race to take a 31-27 lead with 18 seconds left.

Lawrence, who had a roller coaster game, was unable to make magic happen in the remaining seconds when Bengals moved to 2-0 on the season. Jacksonville fell to 1-1 after winning in week 1.
What helped browning in Burrow’s absence was the presence of Chase, which had 14 receptions in 165 yards and a touchdown. Browning still threw three interceptions, but also had two touchdown passes for Mitchell Tinsley and Tee Higgins.

While they got the victory, Bengal’s weather will be keeping the weather to see if NFL’s reigning comeback player of the year will be available next week.
