The war is over between Shemar Stewart and Cincinnati Bengals.
After a month-long standoff and word war, the first round of election finally signed its rookie deal on Saturday, the team announced.
Cincy chose Stewart, the defensive end out of Texas A&M, with the 17th gathering choice of draft in April, and things went off on the right foot.

The Bengals allegedly tried to restructure the way their first round-rookie contracts are executed, which would allow the team to cancel future guarantees.
“I am 100% right,” he said of his attitude about his rookie deal in June. “I do not ask for nothing that you (Bengals) have never done before. But in that case, you just want to win arguments (more) than win more games.”
Stewart had attended meetings under MiniCamp, but was not getting on the field. He did not report to training camp earlier this week that disturbed Bengals -performing Duke Tobin.

“I think Shemar should be here,” Tobin told journalists. “I don’t want to blame Shemar. He listens to the advice he pays for. I understand or believe or believe in the advice, but I don’t pay for it. If I felt we were treating him unfairly as it doesn’t know all the other draft elections in this year’s draft, it might be another story. But we’re not. I don’t really understand where things are.”
After back and forth, Stewart’s deal is worth $ 18.97 million, fully guaranteed, with a $ 10 million signing bonus. He became the last 2025 election of the first round to sign an appointment.
The Bengals missed the playoffs last year, largely due to a dirty defense. Now Bengals could turn their attention to Trey Hendrickson, who led the NFL in sacks last year.

However, the long -time NFL veterinarian is also a teamout and claims he has not heard from Bengal’s Brass about a new deal since the draft.
